II Corinthians 13:14

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Well girlies, I think the time has come to post an ending blog. Traffic seems to have slowed down a lot and I think some people are quite busy these days. How did Sunny say it, when she ended hosting it?– I think she quoted Ecclesiastes. Where it says there is a season, a time, and a purpose for everything. This is a difficult blog to post, but I’ve been thinking and praying about it on and off for many months, there are some other things that I need to be more focused on...and I think that the season for hosting this blog has come to an end. Actually I know with certainty the time has come, especially after the message in church tonight.

I have enjoyed sharing our love of music, the teachings we have heard, songs people have posted, devotionals, scriptures, and the things that make up our everyday lives. I appreciate you and I embrace the things that make each one of us unique.

I care for you girls, you are treasures; making your way in this life in Christ. I have loved it when we have shared times of growth, times of fun, the times of life, and prayed for one another. I count my life richer for having blogged with each of you.

To every one of you who has frequented this blog:
I wish you grace...peace... and love

II Cor 13:14
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Blessings~

Psalm 33

1 Good people, cheer God! Right-living people sound best when praising. 2 Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs! Play his praise on a grand piano! 3 Invent your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare. 4 For God's Word is solid to the core; everything he makes is sound inside and out. 5 He loves it when everything fits, when his world is in plumb-line true. Earth is drenched in God's affectionate satisfaction. 6 The skies were made by God's command; he breathed the word and the stars popped out. 7 He scooped Sea into his jug, put Ocean in his keg. 8 Earth-creatures, bow before God; world-dwellers - down on your knees! 9 Here's why: he spoke and there it was, in place the moment he said so. 10 God takes the wind out of Babel pretense, he shoots down the world's power-schemes. 11 God's plan for the world stands up, all his designs are made to last.

12 Blessed is the country with God for God; blessed are the people he's put in his will. 13 From high in the skies God looks around, he sees all Adam's brood. 14 From where he sits he overlooks all us earth-dwellers. 15 He has shaped each person in turn; now he watches everything we do. 16 No king succeeds with a big army alone, no warrior wins by brute strength. 17 Horsepower is not the answer; no one gets by on muscle alone. 18 Watch this: God's eye is on those who respect him, the ones who are looking for his love. 19 He's ready to come to their rescue in bad times; in lean times he keeps body and soul together. 20 We're depending on God; he's everything we need. 21 What's more, our hearts brim with joy since we've taken for our own his holy name. 22 Love us, God, with all you've got - that's what we're depending on.

Grace Sufficient for the Hour

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all the world. Psalm 145:8-9

Grace is God's unmerited favor, His underserved mercy, His boundless compassion. This wondrous gift comes to you because God gives freely, and you are fortunate enough to be his child. And because you are his, he loves you unconditionally. Grace is your birthright as a child of God. You fully avail yourself of this bounty by placing your complete trust in Him. You have access to His grace by having confidence in His promises. When you act on this confidence in God, you will find that nothing is too great a challenge, that no obstacle is too large to overcome. Nothing is impossible!

Though you may approach a tough situation with trepidation knowing the limitations of your own meager abilities, you can ask for His help and be certain that He will give it. God can do anything!

Identity Crisis

(by Charles Stanley)
1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
How often do we evaluate ourselves based on our feelings, rather than what God says? The problem is, our feelings change. From moment to moment, we never know what circumstances will test our faith.

Maybe today is “one of those days.” The car didn’t start, the boss has been breathing down your neck, the mortgage payment’s due, and money is short. During times like these, it can be difficult to maintain good judgment. But remember, Satan will do whatever He can to distract your attention from the Lord. The Enemy knows He can drag you down by directing your focus toward circumstances.

What do the Scriptures say about us? Today’s passage calls believers “a chosen race,” “a royal priesthood,” and “God’s own possession.” And our purpose is to “proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called [us] out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

How encouraging it is to know we’ve been called into God’s “marvelous light.” But without help, we’re unable to escape the “darkness” of our circumstances. As believers, we’re empowered by the Holy Spirit. He enables us to overcome disheartening situations and Satan’s deceptive tactics.

Circumstances may seem unbearable. But remember the promise of 1 Corinthians 6:20. (For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's)
The Lord purchased you with a price. Wake up each morning with the knowledge that you’re valuable to your Father. Trust in His Word, not your feelings. And allow the Holy Spirit to change your view of yourself.
